Not long before I go solo

09/14/08

Today ( Saturday) my lesson was to fly low and touch the runway with the back wheels. The first hour in the mid morning was very turbulent and a cross wind, I was fine with the low flying. The next hour just before dusk was great, Larry had me fly low and wanted me to touch the runway with the back wheels and keep the nose wheel of the ground. We did bunny hops around the airport on the runways without taking of into the air. I got confused a few times not knowing what to do, Larry had control over the throttle and keeping it low and the back wheels on the ground was a problem, sometimes I didn't know if I had to land, flare, touch down or take of and at the same time not to crash on the side of the runway. I had a good experience and in hindsight I now know what Larry wanted me to learn. I figured out in my head how to the landing works. I am looking forward to the next lesson, I feel confident I will make good landings.
